Who really benefits from the pink ribbon campaigns: the cause or the company? In showing the real story of breast cancer and the lives of those who fight it, this film reveals the co-opting of what marketing experts have labeled a “dream cause.”

If you’re a woman, take the time to watch the documentary Pink Ribbons, Inc.

Watch it on

Netflix (x)

Itunes (x)

Youtube (for now…)    (x)

NFB (x)

I don’t usually comment on this type of stuff, but I don’t really think that the NFL players really had a say in what they were wearing or advocating. They are there to play the game, so their crimes outside of the stadium really shouldn’t be linked to anything? Everyone knows I am a huge feminist and a huge football fan so I know what I’m saying on both sides. I’m going to admit that I don’t know exactly who profits from the breast cancer symbol or pink ribbon but the products that it is used on are at least sending out the message and spreading it widely. Once again, not saying I know much about where profits go or anything. But I really love the NFL and I really love Women’s advocacy and rights through this whole thing, it just seems like the wrong things are being attacked.

Hello yes, I am Emrys, and I am giving away Squishables

They’re basically perfect for anyone who is in dire need of a hug and either doesn’t have someone, or simply doesn’t want to interact with other people - or maybe you just love stuffed animals, it doesn’t matter. If I could, I would give everyone one of these cutie patooties but unfortunately I cannot!

The ones in the photos are not the ones I’m giving away! Those are mine in the middle, but if you go to this website right here, you can see what you can win~!

1st place prize: Your choice of any full-sized squishable! That’s seriously like 15 inches of fun. Click here to see how big they are compared to a person!

2nd place prize: A ~*mystery*~ full-sized squishable. I don’t choose them, the website does! If you’re chosen and this is your prize, you are going into this knowing you may not get exactly what you want, but that’s part of the fun.

3rd place prize: Your choice of any mini squishable! They’re a little smaller - click here to see how big they are compared to a person. ps there are some minis that you can’t get in full-size oooo

4th place prize: A ~*mystery*~ mini squishable. Like the 2nd place prize, I do not choose your squishable. I’m leaving it up to the squishie gods, but I’m sure you’ll love it.

If you win and you don’t get the prize you wanted, you are free to back out. But I assure you that even the weird looking ones are super cuddly. (I got this bizarre looking tree frog and for some reason I love it)

The Giveaway ends September 15th! Plenty of time for you~

*You do not have to be following me
*Reblogs and likes count!
*You do have to have your askbox open and you have to be willing to give me your address. You must reply within 48 hours as well, or I will select someone else.
*I don’t want to be yelled at by parents who don’t like it when strangers send their kids things over the internet, so if you live with someone and you win, make sure to give them a heads up.
*Also I ship to ~all the places~
*I’ll be using random.org to pick the winners
*This is not sponsored by the Squishable website, I am in no way affiliated with them, or Tumblr.
